Kunjar Sharma Memorial Cup

In Honor of Dr. Kunjar Mani Sharma (1937–2025)

The Toronto Nepalese Sports Club (TNSC) proudly dedicates the Kunjar Sharma Memorial Cup to the life and legacy of Dr. Kunjar Mani Sharma, a leader whose work helped shape the Nepali community in Canada. Dr. Sharma was more than a respected professional and Honorary Consul General—he was a unifying figure, a mentor, and a steady source of guidance for generations of Nepalis who made Canada their home. His lifelong commitment to community-building, cultural preservation, and supporting youth continues to inspire all who knew him.
Launching in 2025, this annual tournament reflects his belief in bringing people together. Dr. Sharma encouraged young Nepalis to stay active, stay connected, and support one another. By organizing this event, TNSC continues the kind of community involvement he valued throughout his life.
The Kunjar Sharma Memorial Cup is more than a competition; it is a gathering that honors the values he stood for. As players take the field and families come together, we remember his dedication to unity and service. His influence lives on in the friendships formed, the pride shared, and the community spirit that grows stronger each year.
TNSC is humbled to preserve his memory through this tournament and remains committed to upholding the ideals he championed throughout his remarkable life.

Honored Guests & Special Acknowledgments

We also extend our appreciation to Mr. Amit Upadhyay for accompanying our honored guests and supporting the occasion.
